I got a new teacher, Rebecca, a very nice lady. She gave us an exercise and let us search information online and then we had a good listening class.

I took the OQPP listening test in Room 218 at 1 o’clock. I was permitted to take their short terms course (11 weeks) with a good score. But I’ve not decided yet. It is too expensive for me and it costs AU 2 without Health Care Card. This card would be available for me 2 years later. Anyway, I don’t think I need such a card at that time. Life is always like this, sometimes we can’t get we most needed but it comes when you don’t need it any longer.

In today’s class, I have a question. 100 tons of sand __ used to build this building. Should we choose is or are? I choose ‘is’ here because I learn grammar of sand is a non-countable noun. But others argue that should be ‘are’ because 100 tons. So I really do not know the right answer. Rebecca used ‘is’ then change to ‘are’.

I think I should move out in a few of weeks because Lila is an outbound girl. We do not have enough chances to talk with each other. I ever thought it was a good place for me to practice English. But now it proves it is wrong.
